Piano Duet Day

The Piano Duet Day “Fun for 2” creates a collaborative opportunity for teachers and students (high school and college) coming from the Oshkosh Area Music Teachers Association and UW-Oshkosh piano students. Participants from each group will prepare repertoire for 4 hands piano or 2 pianos to be rehearsed and performed with the same or a different partner. Duo partners meet on the day of the event and rehearse assisted/coached by a UW-Oshkosh piano student, perform in a Master Class taught by Dr. Eli Kalman, have an informal lunch at Reeve Union, rehearse again and finally perform in a public concert at 3:00 pm on our Music Hall stage at UW-Oshkosh. In the middle of this event there will be a brief presentation of fun works by Saint Saens and Dinu Lipatti, including a student “concerto” presentation by participants.
