Exporting citations from a database

RefWorks allows for direct exportation of a citation from most of Polk Library's databases into your account. Watch the video or read the text and screen captions below to learn how to export a citation from a database into your RefWorks account.


1) To export a citation from a subject database such as Academic Search Complete, click on a title in the results list:


2) On the next screen, note in the"Tools" menu along the right of the screen the "Export" option, and click on the link:


3) You'll now be presented with the "Export Manager" screen. Select "Direct Export to RefWorks", then click the Save button:


4) If you're not already logged into your RefWorks account, you'll be asked to provide your login and password. Once logged in, you will receive a notification informing you that the import was successful. Click on "View Last Imported Folder" to view the citation(s) you just exported:
