Liz Cannon is the Director of the LGBTQ Resource Center and a senior lecturer in Women’s and Gender Studies and Social Justice at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.  She also administers the LGBTQ Studies certificate program.

She has a B.A. in English from Oberlin College, an M.A. in 19th and 20th Century British Literature from Indiana University Bloomington, and a Ph.D. in Women’s Writing and Feminist Theory with a minor in Women’s Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Her research interests used to be in theories of subjectivity represented in Contemporary American Women’s Literature and in lesbian feminist theory. Today she is more apt to be exploring contemporary constructions of bisexuality and effective methods of developing student centers devoted to social justice causes, whether that be gender or sexuality.

Nathaniel earned his Bachelor of Music in Recording Technology and Music Business from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2012. He spent 4 years in Madison working as a professional recording engineer and producer.

He completed his Fire Service Certifications and his Paramedic License through Madison College and spent 2 years serving with the Sun Prairie Fire Department as well as Marshall EMS.

In the last year he has spent much of his time educating local hospitals about best practices in transgender healthcare, specifically as it relates to emergency medicine. He is passionate about healthcare as it relates to the LGBTQ+ community and creating positive change and forward progress.
