Health Science High School Workshop

Want to see what Kinesiology and Athletic Training are all about? Then attend our annual Health Science Workshop on December 7, 2019, where current students of the Kinesiology and Athletic Training programs here at UW Oshkosh will teach you some of the basic skills professionals use everyday.

This workshop provides an opportunity for students to understand more about the health care and fitness professions available to UW Oshkosh Kinesiology and Athletic Training Program graduates. High School students who want to learn more about the professions and the educational programs will benefit from this workshop. They will also have an opportunity to interact with the faculty, staff and students of the UW Oshkosh Kinesiology and Athletic Training Programs.

There will be two panel discussions, one with current UWO students and one with local professionals from a variety of careers and settings, along with five break out sessions where participants will practice hands-on skills. Students will participate in each break out session, which are all hands-on.

Shoulder Rehabilitation Techniques
Head/Concussion Evaluation
Knee Splinting & Crutching

Dynamic Warmup Activties
Ankle Taping Skills
Thermal Modalities Experience
