  • IT Support Technician

Job Summary:
The IT Support Technician is a student position within the Division of Information Technology Device Support group. This group is accountable for ensuring continuity of computer system services for end users by providing the technical expertise, assistance, and project coordination necessary to install computer software products, modify/repair hardware and resolve technical problems. This position is committed to providing exemplary customer experiences and technical support to faculty, staff, and students at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh while striving to maximize a user’s utilization of IT systems. The incumbent student must be self-motivated and able to complete required training to become technically proficient with campus systems and procedures with the intent to be able to work independently on technical issues with little supervision. The incumbent student must demonstrate competent time management skills and a calmness in stressful, time-sensitive situations. This student must be able to convey technical issues and resolutions in a nontechnical manner.

  • Programming Intern

Job Summary: Automation & Integration (AI) provides automated computer image delivery and other automated IT tasks and services
through our web front end Qnet.  This position will contribute code and bug fixes for this system and other services developed by AI.

  • Windows Deployment Intern

Job Summary: This position will assist in the deployment of Windows operating system across campus.  The student will be responsible for creating Windows images for campus, writing software deployment packages, maintaining an up to date driver repository using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, and other various Windows deployment tasks.

The Information Technology Division manages the web, file storage, computer labs, IT Help Desk and desktop support for the campus. General working hours for this position are 7:45 to 4:30 Monday through Friday with occasional time outside business hours. 15-20 hours per week are expected when classes are in session. 40 hours of work per week are expected otherwise.
