An accommodation deposit is due at the time that you reserve housing. All other fees payable to UW Oshkosh are due prior to the first day of class.
Fees payable to UW Oshkosh include housing, meals, books, student ID and health insurance. The housing fee is based on the lowest-cost accommodation in double rooms on the UW Oshkosh campus and includes the housing deposit. All students must purchase the UW Oshkosh insurance plan to be in compliance with U.S. Immigration policy and UW Oshkosh requirements.
In addition to fees owed to UW Oshkosh, you will incur personal expenses during your stay. On average, a student may spend approximately $1,000 each semester. Every individual’s spending habits are different; an individual student’s personal expenses may be higher or lower than the estimate. Applicants are responsible for U.S. government fees in relation to the visa application.
ADMITTED EXCHANGE STUDENTS
Congratulations on your acceptance to UW Oshkosh.
This is your guide you through the important steps you need to take to enroll for classes and prepare for the beginning of your academic year.
Find out what you need to do as a newly admitted international student both before and when you arrive.
Study Abroad Fair presentation requirement
All UW Oshkosh exchange students are expected to attend our fair to promote study at their home university.
Each student’s home university will have a table at the fair (there will be one table for all National Student Exchange universities). Exchange students should speak to the study abroad coordinator on their home campus before coming to UW Oshkosh to request informational materials for the fair. Exchange students should also visit the Office of International Education at UW Oshkosh to prepare to decorate their table.
Exchange students may leave the fair to attend class (don’t skip class!) but are expected to be at the fair when not in class.
Current Students
International students play an active role in both the intellectual and cultural life of our campus.
International Student Services is here to help you navigate life on campus and provide useful information, resources and links to additional content that will help you throughout your time at UW Oshkosh.
