Research duties pursuant to NIH grant 1U19AI110820-01: maintain parasite life cycle involving mosquito and rodent hosts, including surgical manipulation of hosts, mosquito upkeep and tissue collection. This position will also require RNA isolation and analysis from isolated tissues and some level of bioinformatics analysis of transcriptome data, as well as general laboratory duties.


Bachelors in Biological Sciences required; Master of Science desirable.


Background in parasitology and entomology, experience in laboratory animal research, tissue culture, molecular biology, bioinformatics.

Starting Date

04/01/2014, or as soon as possible



Terms of Appointment

2 years including a 6 month probationary period
