Responsibilities

The Department of Psychology at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Social/Personality Psychology who will make a strong contribution to our undergraduate and graduate programs. The Department offers an undergraduate major and minor in psychology and terminal Master’s Degree Program in Cognitive and Affective Psychological Sciences. Although specialty in Social/Personality is open, candidates must be prepared to teach Introductory Psychology, Personality Psychology, Social Psychology, and possibly courses in Statistics, Methods, and Psychometrics. Excellent teaching skills, the ability to develop and maintain an active program of research in social/personality psychology and to work collaboratively with students and colleagues are also required. Candidates who can contribute to the Department’s Cognitive and Affective Psychological Sciences Graduate Program are particularly encouraged to apply. All departmental faculty members are actively engaged in the teaching, research, and application of psychology within a departmental culture that values collegiality.

Requirements

Ph.D. in Psychology with experience in the area of Social/Personality psychology.
