We believe in fostering a positive culture and an inclusive, diverse work environment that values the institution’s greatest asset, its people, and encourages the empowerment of faculty and staff.
The vision of the UW Oshkosh Office of Human Resources is to be the most trusted and credible resource for the university on human resource and compliance matters. We will function as:
- A valued internal consultant and leader ensuring support for practices and standards to engage employees for effective use of human, financial, technical, and physical resources; and
- Professionals that place a high value on collaborative relationships while recognizing the importance of individual contributions; and
- Strategic partners who are responsive to the needs of all university employees.
Our dedicated team is here to serve faculty, staff and student employees with human resource and compliance needs such as payroll, benefits, employee relations, recruitment, compliance, accessibility, professional development, and talent management.

UWO Recruitment Cutover Plan
A recruitment cutover plan has been developed to allow UWO to transition from the current recruitment system to Workday in July 2025. We recognize the ongoing need to fill approved positions and provide a positive candidate and new hire experience, but this need must be balanced with the need to work around the ATP transaction freeze dates and ensure time for manual and catch-up processing immediately following go-live in July.
