World War I Centennial Symposium
Oct. 2–4, 2018 | University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and the Oshkosh Public Museum
Explore the art, culture and history of World War I as the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh—in partnership with the Oshkosh Public Museum—commemorates the Great War’s centennial.
A series of lectures will be held on the UWO campus each afternoon, followed by a special presentation at 6 p.m. nightly either on the Oshkosh campus or at the Oshkosh Public Museum. Throughout the symposium, the “For Home and Country” exhibit and WWI standees will be on display daily at the museum and on campus in Reeve Union’s Steinhilber Gallery, respectively.
Campus sponsors of the event include the art, English and history departments.
Parking Lot 15, the visitor lot across from Reeve, will be free without a permit from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday and 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m on Wednesday.
