The talk will cover the advent of brewing in Winnebago County and chart its explosive growth through the 19th century to its lingering decline in the 20th century. With visits along the way to the areas saloons, taprooms, and hop farms. All of it leading to the current resurgence of brewing in the county and how it is informed by the breweries of the past.
