Early Childhood Services

The UW Oshkosh Head Start program offers FREE pre-school programs for eligible families. Children’ who receive an early childhood education are more liely to succeed in school. That’s why Head Start gives kids ages three to five the learning and social skills they need to be ready to start school.

PROGRAM OPTIONS

    1. Half Day Session:  This is a three and a half hour day program offered Monday through Thursday in either the morning or afternoon in our Oshkosh Wilcox and Peace locations.
    2. Extended Day Session:  This is a five or six hour, four day per week program offered at eight out of our nine UW Oshkosh Head Start sites.
    3. Extended Day Sessions:   This is a six and half hour to six and three-quarter hour, five day per week program offered at six out of nine UW Oshkosh Head Start sites.

Support for the whole family 

Services to families ensure that all members of the family, not just the enrolled child, are able to learn, grow and develop as they desire. Families are encouraged to participate in activities directly with their children and to set and attain their own goals as well.
