Graduate Assistantship Application

A Graduate Assistantship is a paid employment and professional development opportunity in a UW Oshkosh academic or academic-support area.  Usually, a student applies to the program in which s/he is admitted but may be hired in another area if the student meets that area's GA qualification requirements.

You must submit a new application for each academic year (fall to spring) which you are seeking employment.  Assistantships are not available in the summer.

  1. Full standing admission in a graduate program at UW Oshkosh
  2. Enrolled for a minimum of six graduate degree credits each semester at UW Oshkosh
  3. No more than one "Incomplete" course grade carried over to the next semester
  4. Employment as a Graduate Assistant is contingent upon the successful outcome of a criminal background check. A pending criminal charge or conviction will not necessarily disqualify an applicant. In compliance with the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act, the University does not discriminate on the basis of arrest or conviction record.
