Paying for College
College is an important investment, and the cost of attendance is something you can plan for. Affordability is one of the most important factors to consider when choosing your future school. Most UW Oshkosh students receive financial aid.
The estimated annual costs on this page do not consider personal costs, such as day-to-day living expenses and transportation. However, our financial aid office does consider these items in awarding your financial aid package. You can review official student accounts tuition, room/board costs here. Or, you can view the amounts that financial aid takes into consideration here.

FAFSA and College Goal Wisconsin
As a future college student, you will want to explore all of the possible funding opportunities. Speak to your high school counselor about financial aid for college and make plans to attend one of the regional College Goal Wisconsin sessions, a state-wide program offering information on the “how-to’s” of applying for financial aid and hands-on help in filing out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA).
Please note the the FAFSA launch was delayed this year and is currently in a “soft launch” phase. To be considered for all types of financial aid, we recommend filing the FAFSA by UW Oshkosh’s March 1 priority date.
The majority of students at UW Oshkosh are receiving some form of financial aid, including grants, loans, work-study and scholarships. For more information about these types of financial aid and others available, visit the UW Oshkosh Financial Aid Office website.
Freshman Scholarships
The UW Oshkosh Foundation awards more than $200,000 in freshman scholarships each year. Most of the scholarships are merit awards that recognize academic, leadership or other achievements. Some also are need-based. The admissions office administers many of the freshman scholarships.
For detailed information about actual costs per credit and payment deadlines, visit the Student Accounts Receivable website.
