General Education at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh
All American universities have a general education program. What makes UWO’s General Education Program special is that some of your General Education Courses may include experiential learning. You may choose to fulfill some of your general education requirements with smaller, experiential learning courses, which are designed to put your learning into practice. Look for FYE and SYE components.

UWO General Education Courses
Students who start their college career at UW Oshkosh can take FYE in their first year as well as a public speaking class (Comm 111) and a writing class (WRT 188). Students can take a SYE course in either semester of their second year.
