Retroactive Credits

Students with prior foreign language training are eligible to earn up to 16 retroactive units (credits), shown in parentheses, by successfully completing one of the following courses with a grade of B or better: 111 (4), 210 (8), 211 (12), 310 level (16).

  • Be aware that in order to be eligible for retrocredits, you must receive a B or higher in the course you have placed into. No one may receive more than 16 retroactive credits.
  • To request retroactive credits, after final grades are posted and you have completed the course you were placed into with a grade of B or higher, please email the Department Chair, Dr. Daniel Gier, Be certain to include:
    1. your student number,
    2. course taken,
    3. grade earned and
    4. semester taken.

You do NOT need to physically come to the DFLL office Clow Faculty 317!
