Minor Scales
Overview

The melodic minor has half steps between scale steps 2-3, and 7-8
The natural minor has half steps between scale steps 2-3, and 5-6
The harmonic minor has half steps between scale steps 2-3, 5-6, and 7-8

To convert a major scale to the minor forms:

Major to Melodic Minor: Lower scale step 3
Major to Natural Minor: Lower scales steps 3, 6, and 7
Major to Harmonic Minor: Lower scale steps 3 and 6
