Minor
Key Signatures
All natural minor scales have PARALLEL MAJOR SCALES
and RELATIVE MAJOR SCALES.
Parallel major and minor scales have the
same starting pitch (or tonic) but have different
key signatures.
Relative major and minor scales have the
same key signature but different starting pitches.
For example: C major and C minor are parallel scales.
C major and a
minor both have no sharps or flats (the same key signature) and are relative
major scales.
