Gender Equity Council

Charge:  The council is charged to act in consultation with the Chancellor to; 1. Oversee the development of programs that support goals, objectives and initiatives of the Ten-Year Plan addressing women’s issues; 2. Identify persons responsible for implementing this plan; 3. Evaluate the effectiveness of programs designed to accomplish this plan.

Composition:  Faculty—4 representing the College of Letters and Science, College of Business, College of Nursing, College of Education and Human Services; Academic Staff--2 representing non-instructional and instructional; Classified Staff—2 represented staff and non-represented staff, and representatives from each of the following: Affirmative Action Director, Diversity Council, Women’s Studies, Employee Assistance Program; Students--2; Administration 1.

Chair: Faculty members on the board elect Chair.
