Our Planning and Construction team plays a central role in guiding this work through long-range capital planning, space planning, project management and administration, furniture purchases, classroom and lab renovations, agency renovations, and small project oversight. Whether a project involves large-scale construction or targeted campus improvements, each effort is part of a broader commitment to support academic excellence, operational needs, and the overall campus experience.

These projects are more than physical changes to campus. Types of Campus Projects

Campus work generally falls into two project categories: capital projects and internal campus projects.

Capital projects are large-scale efforts that typically involve major renovations, new construction, significant infrastructure improvements, or other substantial investments that require long-term planning, formal approvals, and dedicated funding sources.

Internal campus projects are smaller campus-managed improvement efforts that still require planning, coordination, and project oversight. These may include space reconfigurations, classroom or lab updates, furniture installations, departmental improvements, and other changes intended to enhance campus spaces and operations.

Repairs and maintenance requests are not managed by the project team. Requests for repairs or maintenance should be submitted through TMA, where they can be tracked appropriately and billed as needed.
