Faculty praise for Madeline
Madeline sought ways to recognize and incorporate beauty into all of our tasks, whether a short writing assignment or recognizing others’ ideas. She was a wonderful, valued team member in our class!
Madeline Bickley generated warmth in my Modern Drama course. She offered engaging comments during our class discussions.
Madeline recognized early on the importance and power of inference in short fiction. In one of Madeline’s stories, a character named Camille was walking with a friend to a funeral when she paused on the sidewalk to cough up a hairball. Who does that? was the reaction of one of the students in the workshop. A careful, close reading of the story revealed Camille to be a cat.
