The Accessibility Center is here to help you obtain the necessary accommodations to help you reach your highest level of success. Students are responsible for providing appropriate documentation and meeting with the Coordinator to establish a reasonable accommodation plan. 

The following are the student’s responsibilities:

  • Meet all academic requirements to be admitted to the university and continue as a student
  • Follow all university policies related to submitting documentation
  • Meet with your professors to request accommodations as outlined on your Accommodation Recommendation Card
  • Attend classes as required

Student Roles and Responsibilities

As a student, you have roles and responsibilities to uphold when requesting and utilizing accommodations.

  • Students must meet all academic requirements to be admitted to the university and/or continue as a student, and maintain institutional standards.
  • Students must request support services from The Accessibility Center with sufficient documentation from an appropriate professional that verifies the disability, functional limitations and the need for specific accommodations. 
  • Students are expected to identify themselves and provide their AR to appropriate faculty and staff in a timely manner
  • Meet with your professors to discuss accommodations as outlined on your Accommodation Recommendation Card
  • Attend classes as required
