Beginning with the Summer 2019 term, D2L will no longer be used to access online course materials.  Materials will be available in the new Canvas environment.  Please login to Canvas with your NetID via the Canvas Login Page


How Do I Export Course Materials?

Course materials can be exported from D2L and saved, the package can then be imported at a later time or into another instance of D2L. Student data, such as grades, discussion posts, and dropbox submissions are NOT included in the exported files.

Written Instructions

  1. Click Edit Course in the upper right corner.
  2. Click Import/Export/Copy from the list of tools
  3. Click the radio button next to Export.
  4. Make sure the checkbox labeled "Include course files in the export package" is checked
  5. Click the "Start" button at the bottom of the page.
  6. After a couple of seconds, the components used in the course will appear.  Click the checkboxes next to the components you would like to export and click Continue.
  7. The screen will change and you will be asked to confirm the components to copy.  Click Continue.
  8. The export process will begin, as each component completes, a green checkmark will appear next to the component. 
  9. When the export process is complete, click the Finish button.
  10. The screen will change to display a confirmation and a link to the exported .zip file will be available.  Click the link.
  11. Save the exported .zip file to your computer or flash drive.
