10.6 Video Features Guide - Integrations Edition

The move to D2L 10.6 has resulted in changes to many of the applications that have been integrated with D2L. For details on these changes and to see video walkthroughs of Turnitin, Collaborate Ultra (replacing online rooms) and our new video recording solution CaptureSpace, please see the information below.

Introduction to Collaborate Ultra

 Collaborate Ultra will be replacing Collaborate Classic as our online synchronous meeting tool.  Although it does not have all of the functionality available in the previous version, it is overall much easier to use.  If you would like to continue using the classic version of this tool, please contact

Introduction to CaptureSpace

 CaptureSpace is a new video recorder we are making available to our instructors within D2L.  (Student access may come in the future.)  It will make recording quick videos very easy.  Relay should still be used for lecture capture or with mobile devices.

Features Include:

  • Easy creation of videos, with more editing capabilities.
  • Automatic Upload to MyMedia.
  • Easily added to D2L

Updated Turnitin Interface

 While not specifically a D2L update, we are taking this opportunity to make some changes to the integration between D2L and Turnitin.  The method for enabling Turnitin on a dropbox has changed slightly and the entire Turnitin Interface has been updated.  For details please watch the video below.
