The Campus Victim Advocate position is a result of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and Reach Counseling Service's collaboration to provide advocacy services to the UW Oshkosh community.

ADVOCACY SERVICES ARE FREE AND CONFIDENTIAL, AND DO NOT REQUIRE YOU TO REPORT.

Experiencing any form of violence can have a serious impact on your ability to cope with school and day-to-day activities. The Campus Victim Advocate is available to provide information, support and resources if you have experienced sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, and/or harassment. These services are free to students, faculty and staff of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh community.

Campus Victim Advocate Bio

UW Oshkosh's Campus Victim Advocate is Ciara Hill; she has received two Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2016 and has been residing in Oshkosh for the past 4 years. While attending UWO, Ciara worked for The Boys and Girls Club of Oshkosh as a academic coordinator with 6-12 year old's. Throughout her college career, Ciara has been involved with multiple different departments on campus. She served as the activities coordinator for the Black Student Union for two years, founded an interest group to bring a historically black sorority to the UWO campus, participated in Move in Titans through the Department of Residence Life , and worked as an tutor for multiple Criminal Justice and Psychology courses through the Academic Resources Center. She also worked two summers with the UWO Precollege Programs. 

Ciara has recently completed the Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assualt's (WCASA) Sexual Assault Victim Advocacy School, is a member of the Victim Services Committee at UW Oshkosh, and is also a member of the Bystander Intervention Committee at UWO. She will be involved with implementing their new bystander intervention programs.

With Ciara combined experience on the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh campus and with varies under represented and at risk communities, she has extensive knowledge and an empathetic nature that will enable her to assist survivors in their path towards healing.
