The Hub serves as a campus community engagement and gathering spot where the UWO community can come for comfort, socializing, activities, programming, networking, and gathering. The main focus of The Hub is community building and creating a sense of belonging for the entire UWO community. The Hub is your destination spot to unwind, socialize, and have fun while engaging and meeting with support staff.
Community
Community building brings people together and creates a sense of belonging. The Hub is a perfect gathering and networking space to connect with new people, hang out with your friends, and have open and honest conversations with student support staff located directly in The Hub for your convenience. The staff located in The Hub are dedicated and ready to help support and guide you along your college journey.
Fun
College is already a strenuous and challenging time. Make sure to take time out to relax and enjoy all that UWO has to offer. Meeting new people, attending social events and activities, joining student organizations and clubs, and having fun are also part of the college experience. There’s no better place to do all those things than in The Hub! The Hub offers team-building activities, a gaming area, and a lounge for gathering or relaxing.
Sense of Belonging
Belonging is the feeling of security and support when there is a sense of acceptance, inclusion, and identity for a particular group member. It is when an individual or a group of people can bring their authentic selves to whatever environment they are in. The Hub provides a safe and inclusive space to be yourself among your peers and university staff.
