In order to declare a Computer Science or Software Technology major, a student must be enrolled in or have completed CS 221. There are no other requirements for declaring these  majors.

If a student is transferring from a Technical College into the Software Technology major, the student must have graduated with a Software Developer A.A.S degree from that technical college, and the technical college must have an articulation agreement with UW Oshkosh covering the transfer of specific courses into the Software Technology major program.
