Advising
Each Criminal Justice Major is assigned a Faculty Adviser within the Criminal Justice Department. The student’s Academic Advisement report will indicate which faculty member has been assigned as an adviser to them. While Criminal Justice Majors are not required each semester to meet with their adviser to register, the CJ Department does encourage all students to meet with their advisers when they have questions. All Criminal Justice Majors at the level of Junior are REQUIRED to meet with their CJ Faculty Adviser during their Junior year. To ensure that all students meet with their Faculty Adviser during their Junior year, an automatic hold is placed on each CJ Major’s account when they reach the status of Junior. To remove this hold, students must make an appointment with their CJ Faculty Adviser.
