Group Therapy
Group Therapy is an opportunity for students to learn, share, and grow with one another as they are educated on coping strategies or different ways to navigate challenges and difficulties in life. With several different topics of group therapy options, there’s sure to be a good opportunity for each and every student.

Fall 2025 Group Offerings/Schedule
- Balance Workshop Series – Balance explores the definition and signs of distress and tangible ways to manage and cope with distress. This series is structured for students to learn distress tolerance skills in each session with ongoing practice and discussion of how to utilize skills every day.

Thursdays at 11am - Altered Book Group – The Altered Book Group is a creative and therapeutic space where students transform old books into personal visual journals. Through mixed media art, collage, poetry, and reflection, participants explore themes like identity, resilience, and emotional healing. Each session offers guided prompts and open studio time, encouraging self-expression without judgment. Whether you’re processing stress, seeking connection, or simply want to explore your creativity, this group provides a supportive environment to turn pages into personal stories. No art experience needed—just a willingness to explore.
Mondays at 1pm - Just Journal Group – Join us for a supportive and inspiring journaling group designed for anyone who wants to explore self-expression, mindfulness, and personal growth through writing. Whether you’re new to journaling or have been filling notebooks for years, this group offers a welcoming space to reflect, share (if you’d like), and connect with others on the journey.Each session includes guided prompts, quiet writing time, and optional group sharing and discussion.
Come as you are—no pressure, no judgment—just a chance to pause, put pen to paper, and be present with yourself and others.
Wednesdays at 11am
- Self-Compassion Group – College can be overwhelming—and we’re often our own toughest critics. This group is a supportive space to explore your inner world, build a kinder relationship with yourself, and learn how to handle stress, setbacks, and self-doubt with greater understanding and care. Through guided discussions and evidence-based tools, you’ll strengthen your sense of self-worth and develop more compassionate ways of thinking. Come as you are—no perfection required.
