What is Counseling?

College life can be challenging and is often very stressful. Counseling is a process that can help people identify effective strategies for coping with difficult situations, and is also available for the development of plans to achieve goals.

The Counseling Center's staff includes counselors, psychologists, and a therapy dog. For the list of all staff members click here.

The purpose of this website it to give you some idea of what you might expect from services at the Counseling Center. We also hope this website will provide you with helpful tools, and answers to many of your questions. We have many tools available from relaxation visualizations to brochures on situations that occur in life. This website is not a substitute for therapy services. If you are in crisis or your questions are not answered here, please make an appointment to see a counselor.
