College of Nursing

The following requirements must be met prior to consideration for admission into the DNP–Family Nurse Practitioner Emphasis:

A) MSN from a program accredited by the National League for Nursing (NLNAC), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on College Nursing Education (CCNE)

B) Current, unencumbered Wisconsin RN license. Individuals licensed in other states should contact congrad@uwosh.edu for additional information about the licensure requirement.

C) Minimum 3.5 cumulative graduate GPA

D) Three professional references with knowledge of applicant’s current professional and/or academic skills

Note: Due to the competitive nature of the admission process applicants should understand that meeting the minimum standards does not guarantee admission into the program. Applicants will be screened and the most qualified individuals will be invited for an interview.
