Dr. Nari Kim’s research focuses on the application of emerging technologies based on the learning theories and practices for K-12 and higher education. Specifically, she is interested in the design of inquiry-based learning environments using mobile technology and virtual/augmented reality to improve learning and performance in formal and informal education. Over the last 20 years, Dr. Kim has designed and researched innovative learning programs at various international organizations such as Samsung, Daewoo, Woongjin, Seoul National University, and Indiana University. She has also researched critical thinking and collaboration in wikibook creation across six international institutions in the U.S., China, Taiwan, and Malaysia. Dr. Kim’s educational background includes a Ph.D. degree in Instructional Systems Technology at Indiana University in Bloomington and M. A. and B. A. degrees in Educational Technology at Ewha Womans University in South Korea. She received the 2016 EAA/CR Meyer Endowed Professorship from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
