Kathleen Stewardson is the Clinical Coordinator for the Department of Professional Counseling (UW Oshkosh). Professional experience includes Mental Health Counseling in a Wellness Center on a university campus for 8 years, Supervising & Counseling an Abuse Counseling Program (with 3 streams) in a large community service organization for 5 years and establishing a Private Practice (ongoing).
During my time as Supervisor of the Abuse Counseling Program I decided to bring on counseling graduate students, which had not been done before. This resulted in several innovations and expansions of my program areas plus the satisfaction of helping (as their site supervisor) to develop these students both professionally and personally. I went on to hire some of the students and therefore had the privilege of also working with them as colleagues.

Most of all I am excited to be involved in the experiential and field counseling process and experience of our graduate students which I believe will be a launching pad for a life of growth, possibility and service!
