In addition to gifts to the college, we encourage our alumni to help the College of Business (COB) succeed through the following ways:

Spread the Word

Reference the UW Oshkosh brand name and your degree when being profiled for your achievements. Also, inform others of our points of pride, including our AACSB accreditation and the 95th percentile ETS business exam results for both BBA and MBA students (Spring 2008-2012).

Recruit Students to UW Oshkosh COB

Undergraduate and MBA viewbooks are an excellent tool in recruiting new students to UW Oshkosh. Contact the college  to receive copies of our undergraduate viewbooks and to receive the MBA viewbook contact the MBA office at (920) 424-0186 or .

Help Place Internships

UW Oshkosh eager and ambitious interns can provide your company with cost-effective assistance and valuable insight. If you or your company may be interested in hiring an intern, contact our COB internships director by phone at (920) 424-2032 or .

Host an MBA Information Event

MBA-educated employees are an asset to your company. UW Oshkosh's MBA Program is nationally accredited and well-respected by employers. Encourage your employees to consider an MBA by hosting an MBA information event. Contact Terry Rapp at (920) 424-3199 or .

Lend Your Expertise

Give back to your alma mater by offering to guest lecture in a class, speak at a student organization meeting or participate in one-on-one mock interviews, job shadowing or Dining with Professionals. College of Business Alumni Association



The first college/unit-specific alumni group at UW Oshkosh, the College of Business Alumni Association (CBAA) was created following focus group discussions with alumni in 1992.

Vision

The College of Business Alumni Association will be a vital link between the College of Business and all of its Alumni.

Mission

  • To serve as the catalyst to cultivate beneficial relationships
  • To share alumni expertise and resources with the College of Business.
  • To give alumni access to college resources including students.
  • To foster partnerships among alumni.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors was created to provide structure by which members could choose the direction of the CBAA. The board supports the college by:

  1. Providing advice and counsel on issues related to alumni
  2. Assisting with an annual report to stakeholders, which include alumni
  3. Organizing of alumni social events
  4. Creating methods for the college to connect with alumni
  5. Recruiting and selecting outstanding alumni
  6. Fundraising for scholarship and selection of CBAA scholarship winner 


CBAA Scholarship and Recipients

Scholarship Criteria

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students admitted in good standing to the College of Business with a declared major(s) in business.

Applicants must be a student at UW Oshkosh the fall semester of the year they receive the scholarship.

Applicant must show evidence of extracurricular activities (either work-related or part of volunteer experience with a student club or other organization) which contribute to the student developing leadership skills, oral and written communication skills, teamwork abilities, interpersonal skills and technical and computer-related skills.

Applicants must possess good leadership skills and other attributes important for business success.

Applicants must possess the minimum GPA to be accepted in good standing into the College of Business.

The Award

The scholarship will be held at the Cashier’s Office for payment against the recipient’s fall tuition expenses.

The dollar amount of the scholarship will be a minimum of $750. The CBAA board of directors can determine to give more than one award if the principle of the fund warrants this.

This scholarship is an annual award and is not intended to be renewable for the recipient.

The recipient is presented with a certificate at the UW Oshkosh Honors and Awards Ceremony in the spring of each year by a CBAA board member.

College to Career Conference (C2C)


What is C2C?

College to Career Conference is designed for College of Business (COB) students to learn how to network from professionals and have the opportunity to put their education into action with you! Unlike a job fair, students, businesses, faculty and staff will all be moving throughout a room like a business after hours event.

While networking at the Oshkosh Convention Center, students will learn about your organization as well as internship and full-time opportunities you have available. This is your only chance to interact with ALL admitted COB students in one arena. We are expecting over 800 students at this year's event.
