Outstanding Alumni
Thomas Kell
Thomas Kell earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1972 from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh College of Business. He was named outstanding College of Business alumnus in 2006.
Tom, along with his brothers Mike and John, took Kell Container from a 30-employee operation in the early seventies to 212 employees in 2006. Great Northern Corporation acquired Kell Container in 2006.
Through Tom’s efforts, the community recognizes Kell Container as a very community minded and generous organization. Tom has been of service to northwestern Wisconsin since 1974 by serving as president of the Chippewa Falls Chamber of Commerce, trustee for the board of directors for St. Joseph’s Hospital, president of the United Way of Chippewa County, president of the Chippewa Falls YMCA, founding member of the Community Foundation of Chippewa County, and a board member of the UW Oshkosh Foundation.
The Association of Independent Corrugated Converters recognizes Kell Container as one of the top manufacturers of corrugated products and high quality graphic displays.
