Outstanding Alumni

Thomas J. Gross

Thomas J. Gross has spent his life working hard for his success. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh College of Business Administration with majors in accounting and finance in 1973. He was named outstanding alumnus in 2003.

He is the president and owner of Ahern-Gross, Inc., a plumbing contractor in Fond du Lac. From 1977 to 1978, he was employed by the accounting firm Alexander Grant as an auditor in their Appleton office. He assumed the responsibilities of controller at J.F. Ahern Co. in 1978 until 1983.

He is the chairman of the Fond du Lac Area Community Foundation, a board member at Venture Insurance in Fond du Lac, a Hometown Bancorp Ltd. corporate board member, a Hometown Bank board member and part of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin Legal Rights and Strategies committee.

He and his wife, Chris, live in Fond du Lac with their three children.
