Thomas G. Belot
President and CEO, Thomas G. Belot joined The Vollrath Company, L.L.C. in 1978. He has served as Director of Management Systems, Chief Financial Officer, President of Vollrath Refrigeration, Inc. (a Vollrath subsidiary) and in 1989 was promoted to his current position. Vollrath is a leading manufacturer of utensils and equipment used in the food service industry with sales exceeding $200 million. The company manufactures, in one of its five facilities in the USA, or imports its products from sources in Asia. In the 20 years he has been CEO, Vollrath has grown through the introduction of thousands of new products, the acquisition of seven companies and the expansion of markets in Canada, Mexico, The United Kingdom, Western Europe, and China.
Mr. Belot also founded a Business Healthcare Coalition to negotiate healthcare costs with local providers and those throughout the State of Wisconsin that has represented over 25 percent of the population in Sheboygan County. Prior to joining The Vollrath Company, L.L.C., Mr. Belot was with Allis Chalmers Corp. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Mr. Belot’s professional affiliations include membership on The Vollrath Company, L.L.C. Board of Directors, membership on the Editorial Advisory Board of FE&S Magazine and President of SEHN (Sheboygan Employer’s Health Network). He also serves or has served on the Boards of Firstar-Sheboygan, EnzoPac Corporation, The U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee (a PGA Tour event), General Housewares Corporation, and John Michael Kohler Arts Center. He has testified as an expert witness before the United States Senate Finance Committee on the subject of steel tariffs and has been a guest lecturer at Marquette University and The University of Wisconsin-Madison MBA Programs.
Mr. Belot is active in numerous community service organizations around the state. He is currently a member of the Endowment Trust Board of the Sheboygan County YMCA, the Sheboygan County Salvation Army Capital Campaign and President of the Sheboygan County United Way. Past affiliations include: Chairman of the Sheboygan County YMCA, Chairman of the Walk for Juvenile Diabetes, Chairman of the Sheboygan County United Way Campaign, and President of the Youth Theatre Company.
He is a member of Pine Hills Country Club in Sheboygan, Riverbend of Kohler, the Sheboygan Economics Club, and a past member of The Executive Committee (TEC).
He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.
Tom and his wife Diane live in Kohler and have a son (Michael) and a daughter (Erin).
