Career and Graduate School Guidance
A chemistry major prepares students for a wide variety of careers. The US Census Bureau actually keeps track of where college graduates work (chemistry is considered a “physical science”). Many of our graduates stay in Wisconsin; some of their employers are Millipore Sigma [Aldrich], Appvion, Cambridge Major Laboratories, Covance, Gateway Technical College, Kimberly-Clark, Marion University, Neenah Paper, PPD, PPG, Regis Technologies, Schreiber Foods, ST Genetics, UW-Eau Claire and Virent, to namea few. The Department of Chemistry keeps track of the achievements and career progression of many of our alumni.
