UWO Fond du Lac campus update
Dear students,
With the news this week that UW Oshkosh will stop offering classes on the Fond du Lac campus at the end of June 2024, I know you have many questions and concerns. We are here to support you.
I would like to address some of the most common questions we have heard in the last couple of days.
Questions and answers after this week’s news
- President Rothman’s decision to stop instruction next summer does not impact spring semester. Classes will continue as planned for spring 2024.
- Current students will be able to seamlessly transfer to the Oshkosh or Fox Cities campus.
- Tuition for current freshmen and students who will remain in freshman or sophomore status for the 2024-25 academic year will be offered at the UWO Fond du Lac campus rate.
- Students should meet with their advisors in the coming weeks to discuss their spring class schedules. You can view your enrollment date in TitanWeb.
- After the spring semester, students may complete their associate of art and sciences (AAS) degree online or at the UWO Oshkosh or Fox Cities campuses.
- Solution Center staff will continue to provide support to students as you navigate options and make plans for fall 2024.
Let me emphasize that last bullet point: We will continue to be responsive to your ongoing educational needs and will provide the support you need to navigate next steps.
Please understand we will continue working through President Rothman’s directive over the coming weeks and months. We will stay connected and keep you informed as decisions are made that impact the campus and your education.
We will continue to be here for you as we work toward the campus transition next summer.
