Canvas Online Mini-Courses
Enrollment Instructions
- Click on the title of each session to enroll in that Canvas Online Mini-Course.
- Choose the institution in which you are employed.
- Enter your NetID
Once enrolled, mini courses can be accessed at canvas.uwosh.edu
1: Canvas Setup and Tools
In this mini-course will get you started with the Canvas learning environment and some commonly used Canvas terminology. Throughout this course, you will explore the global tools available in the system. In addition, you will have the opportunity to create personal account settings, modify notification settings and personalize the system, so it works best for you.
2: Creating and Organizing Content in Canvas
In this mini-course, you will continue exploring the digital learning environment and learning Canvas terminology. You will also begin exploring some of the course tools available in the system. This mini-course will focus on uploading files, creating pages and adding the content to the Modules tool.
3: Communicating and Collaborating in Canvas
In this mini-course, you will continue exploring the digital learning environment and learning Canvas terminology. You will also begin exploring some of the course tools available in the system. This mini-course will focus on adding people to your course, creating small groups, building discussion boards and creating collaborative documents.
4: Creating and Grading Assignments in Canvas
In this mini-course, you will continue exploring the digital learning environment and learning Canvas terminology. You will also begin exploring some of the course tools available in the system. This mini-course will focus on creating assignments, building rubrics and grading assessments.
5: Creating Quizzes and Question Banks in Canvas
In this mini-course, you will continue exploring the digital learning environment and learning Canvas terminology. You will also begin exploring some of the course tools available in the system. This mini-course will focus on creating quizzes, utilizing question banks and exploring quiz options.
