Elevator Pitch Contest
Co-hosted with the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO) at UW Oshkosh, the 90 Second Elevator Pitch Contest is designed to be low-barrier and provide students with an opportunity to pitch their idea in a welcoming environment.
Any current UW Oshkosh student from any area of study is welcome to participate in the contest.
What kinds of ideas are we looking for? Anything! The sky’s the limit! Pitches can vary from an idea that has recently popped into your head, to a early stage business concept in need of capital.
Once the application closes, we’ll work with you to craft the perfect pitch!
All students and faculty are encouraged to come as guests to the 2023 Elevator Pitch Contest at UW Oshkosh, and enjoy the contest along with refreshments!
Prizes:
The grand prize winner receives $1,000 in cash seed funding and a GUARANTEED spot in the upcoming Business Model Competition
Second Place: $350 cash
Third Place: $150 cash
Guidelines:
- Must be a part-time or full-time student at UW Oshkosh
- You will have 90 seconds to give your pitch.
- Judges will have an opportunity to ask two questions (up to one minute).
- Prior winners are not eligible to participate with the same business idea.
Timeline:
- Application Deadline: Sunday, November 19, 2023 @ 11:59 P.M.
- Announcement of Contestants: 3-5 days after applications close
- Elevator Pitch Contest: Tuesday, November 28, 2023, 6-7:30 P.M.

The 2023 Elevator Pitch Contest was held on Nov. 28th, 2023. Nine students pitched their business ideas and competed for the opportunity to win $1,000 cash and entry into the 2024 Business Model Competition.
William won the contest with his pitch for, Fueled. By Courage, a company dedicated to bringing innovative solutions to rural firefighters.

2022 PITCH WINNERS

Luster Technology’s, Cole Saathoff
The 2022 Elevator Pitch Contest was held on Nov. 15th 2022. six students pitched their business ideas and competed for the opportunity to win $1,000 cash and entry into the 2023 Business Model Competition.
Cole was a freshman at the Oshkosh campus and won the contest with his pitch for, Luster Technology’s, a completely flat smart light switch that is completely customizable and you can touch wherever you want to turn your lights on or off.

2021 PITCH WINNER
GRAND PRIZE WINNER:
CloudWorld, Yintong Qui
The 2021 Elevator Pitch Contest was held on Nov. 16th 2021. Eleven students pitched their business ideas and competed for the opportunity to win $1,000 cash and entry into the 2022 Business Model Competition.
Yingtong was a freshman at the Fox Cities campus and won the contest with his pitch for, CloudWorld, a Linkedin style website designed for the Chinese market.

The 2019 Elevator Pitch Contest was held on Oct. 8th 2019. Ten students pitched their business ideas and competed for the opportunity to pitch in Florida.
Hannah and her business partner, Evan Meyers, competed at the CEO Global Conference & Pitch Competition in Tampa, FL.
