Wisconsin Dementia Care Project Learning Center

Are you interested in learning more about dementia including Alzheimer’s Disease? Are you a family or professional caregiver or do you play another role in the life of someone who is living with dementia?

This program offers a series of online and classroom-style dementia courses, originally developed for and approved by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. The curriculum is appropriate for a variety of learners from beginning to advanced levels.

Dementia Care Generalist (Introductory) Courses*

These interactive online course offers general information about the different types of dementia, warning signs vs normal signs of aging, risk factors, and more. Four versions of the course are available based on the learner’s role in the lives of people with dementia. To learn more or register click here

Dementia Care Online Specialist (Intermediate) Courses*

Choose from numerous hour-long online workshops that offer information on targeted topics related to dementia. To learn more or register click here.

Challenging Behavioral Specialist Train-the-Trainer (Advanced) Course*

This 6-hour training, held periodically in statewide locations, is staffed by professional CCDET trainers. The course teaches qualified individuals to train their own audiences. To learn more or register click here.

Dementia Overview Video For Community Members
This video provides an overview of dementia including a segment from the point of view of a person living with dementia.

Suggested Audience:
Any individual who interacts with people living with dementia within a community setting.
