Continuing Education Options

The Wisconsin Caregiver Training Project provides documentation of training that may fulfill continuing education requirements for individuals in the following categories:

• Healthcare, Homecare, and Residential Care Providers: Employees of providers regulated by the Division of Quality Assurance will receive a Certificate of Participation for the hours completed. Employees should check with their regulatory authority to verify course approval if necessary. A list of regulated providers can be found at DHS Regulations.

• Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through the University of Wisconsin-Extension: Credentialed individuals may seek CEUs through UW-Extension, which awards one CEU for every ten contact hours in a continuing education experience. Application forms for CEUs will be provided to participants. Please note that UW-Extension charges a fee to process the forms.
