CCDET Exhibits at 2019 FOCUS Conference
    "Teach, Learn, Collaborate"

Learning, networking and information-sharing were in abundance at the UW Oshkosh Center for Community Development, Engagement and Training (CCDET) exhibit booth at the 2019 FOCUS Conference. The WI Department of Health Services, Division of Quality Assurance (DQA) 18th Annual FOCUS Conference was held on November 20 and 21, 2019 at the Kalahari Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells, WI. Over 1,100 people attended this conference and our booth gave attendees the opportunity to pick up an informational brochure, sign-up for a chance to win a CCDET dementia online training course and network with CCDET staff members, Renee Rickert and Sharon Rickords, to learn more about our services.

The audience for the conference included health care providers and DQA staff. The conference addressed a wide variety of emerging health care related issues such as dementia, emergency preparedness, trauma-informed care, elder abuse and residence rights. The 2019 FOCUS Conference was developed in collaboration between DQA, health care providers and provider association representatives.

DQA already announced the 2020 FOCUS Conference dates, November 18 and 19, 2020. CCDET has signed up to be an exhibitor for 2020 and looks forward to another outstanding conference!
