Undergraduate Advising Resource Center (UARC)
Faculty have a unique opportunity to create a sense of urgency around registration because they interact with students regularly. If there are concerns about courses not filling or being cancelled, remind students to enroll as soon as possible. Early registration helps ensure classes run as planned, students secure the courses they need, and overall retention and timely graduation improve. You can help support retention efforts by talking to students about the importance of enrolling in spring classes:
- Talk about Spring 2026 enrollment during class
- Post reminders to register on Canvas
- Repeat this mantra: “It’s better to register on time and make changes than to register late or not at all.”
- Share registration resources with students
Registration Resources:
- Registration Toolkit
- UARC Open Lab: Monday–Friday, 12–3 p.m. Drop-in registration support for any student. No appointment needed. (Note: not an alternative to advising, but assistance specifically for registration questions.)
Educate Students About Holds:
- Holds are visible in the Student Center in TitanWeb. Students can click on “Details” to learn who to contact and how to resolve a hold.
- All students have the Financial Agreement Indicator Hold and must complete the Student Financial Agreement in their To-Do List in TitanWeb each semester to gain access to enroll.
Faculty who are also advisors can promote advising and timely registration through the use of Campaigns in Navigate:
- Appointment Campaigns – Create a list of students you want to meet with and invite them to schedule an appointment. When a student schedules, they are removed from your list so nudges only go to those who haven’t acted.
- Enrollment Campaigns – Create a list of students to monitor for next-term enrollment. When a student registers, they are removed from your list so you can target only those who have not enrolled.
If you have further questions about using Navigate, please reach out to your UARC program advising liaison or email advising@uwosh.edu.

Career & Professional Development (CPD)
Career & Professional Development is hosting Countdown to Commencement on Wednesday, November 19, from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. in the Reeve Concourse.

This event celebrates our Fall graduates’ accomplishments and helps them prepare for what’s next after graduation. Representatives from Events & Conference Services and the Bookstore will be available to answer questions about commencement details and cap and gown orders. Students can also enjoy cap decorating, free alumni gear and prizes, and complimentary Bubbl’r.
In addition, this event helps collect important Graduation Survey (First Destination) data about what students are doing after graduation. This information is vital to the university because it allows us to:
- Keep academic disciplines up to date on what students do with their degrees.
- Communicate accurate salary estimates with students and employers, keeping salaries competitive across disciplines.
- Celebrate students’ successes with external stakeholders like parents, prospective students, other alumni, and community leaders.
If you know any students graduating this semester, please encourage them to stop by and join the celebration!

New Student and Retention Programs (NSRP)
As we approach the end of the semester, NSRP will begin sending weekly re-enrollment reports to school directors to share with faculty advisors. These reports help ensure students are enrolled before winter break, setting them up for a strong start to Spring 2026.
Progress Reports for 7-Week Session 2 are complete! Thank you for your engagement—we reached a 70% response rate. You can still submit an Ad Hoc Progress Report on any student if concerns arise.
Please continue to read information from NSRP and UARC regarding re-enrollment. Your engagement—through reminders, conversations, and encouragement—makes a measurable difference in retention and student satisfaction. Thank you for your ongoing partnership.
