Next Steps

for Early College Credit and High School Special Students

We are thrilled that you have chosen to enroll in college level classes at UWO while in high school. The information below will help you get started and will answer many of your questions. If you have additional questions, we encourage you to connect directly with our team by emailing hscollegecredit@uwosh.edu or calling (920) 424-2275. The Early College Credit team is here to help you navigate every step of the enrollment process.

Step 1: Activate your NetID

After being admitted, your first step is activating your UWO NetID and choosing a password. Once you activate your UWO NetID you will be able to access many of the online services that you will use during your time as a student.

Your UWO Student ID Number and email address, both of which you will use to activate your account, is noted in your acceptance email. Your NetID is the first portion (everything before the @) of your UW Oshkosh Titan email address.

If you forget your password or ever have any issues logging in to a UWO platform, please contact our IT Help Desk at itservicedesk@uwosh.edu or 920-424-3020.

What will your NetID be?

The UWO Net ID is typically formulated using the following information.

  • First 8 letters of last name, or your entire last name if less than 8 letters.
  • First 2 letters of first name
  • Last 2 digits of student ID

For example: Mary Johnson, with a student ID number of 0999999 would be johnsonma99. Mary’s email address would be johnsonma99@uwosh.edu.

After you activate your NetID

You will use your NetID and password to access your Titan Email and TitanWeb accounts.

Access your Titan Email

It is important to check your Titan email often, as many offices will only communicate with you through this account. Find more information about your email account.

Access TitanWeb

TitanWeb is the main platform you will use to manage finances and enroll in classes. Log into your TitanWeb account.

Enrolling in Classes

You will complete the course enrollment process within TitanWeb. Your enrollment date is noted on your admissions letter.
The Early College Credit team is here to help you should you experience challenges enrolling. If you have any questions throughout the process, please contact us at hscollegecredit@uwosh.edu or (920) 424-2275.

Important: Placement Test Details

If you wish to enroll in a math or foreign language course, as well as English writing, English 207 or English 281, please arrange to take the appropriate UW System Placement Test/s online if you have not previously completed a college course in the area.

You may not enroll in a college math, English or foreign language course unless you already have completed a placement test or have completed at least one college course in the area in question. Placement tests should be taken at least 72 hours prior to your enrollment to ensure that test scores are available. Follow these instructions to complete placement testing.

Visit the regional testing registration website and read through the information listed. If you would like to request accommodations for your exams, please read through the accommodations drop-down information before filling out the registration form.

Click the Registration form link to begin the registration process.

  • You will need your UW Oshkosh NetID and password to register. This information was provided in your acceptance email.
  • The registration form is a two-step process. After filling out section one of the registration form, you will be emailed a verification code from the Center for Placement Testing to complete the registration process in section two.
  • Once you’ve completed the registration form. Further emails will be sent to you from Meazure Learning, which will include the link to the exams and login information. The email address you provide on the registration form will be used to receive those notifications. If you are experiencing an issue as you complete your online placement exam, please contact Meazure Learning at (919)-572-6880 or email candidatesupport@meazurelearning.com.

Additional Services and Resources

Canvas

Canvas is a digital learning platform where instructors communicate with students, assign projects, provide feedback and post grades. Students can also submit assignments, collaborate with classmates and track course progress. Most instructors do not add students to their Canvas class until the first week of class.

Student I.D. (TitanCard)

Your TitanCard is your official student identification card, which you can obtain at Titan Central in Reeve Memorial Union. If you are an Early College Credit Program student, let the Titan Central staff know to ensure that you are not charged a fee for your card. High School Special students are responsible for the cost of a TitanCard.

To obtain your TitanCard, you must be enrolled in at least one class. If you plan on attending classes on campus, the TitanCard is essential for accessing certain services and events (though some events may have additional charges). Be sure to bring a valid form of photo ID when visiting Titan Central. More information can be found here.

Titan Dollars

You can add Titan Dollars to your TitanCard to use on campus for meals and other purchases. When using Titan Dollars at dining locations, students will enjoy a 5% sales tax discount. Learn how to add Titan Dollars to your TitanCard.

Textbooks

Textbooks are available at University Books and More, located in Reeve Memorial Union. Students should order textbooks in advance to ensure they have them before the first day of class. When ordering online, you’ll need to enter your 7-digit student ID number. ECCP students should note “ECCP Student” in the comment section to ensure their school is charged for the textbooks instead of their student account.

High School Special students are responsible for covering the cost of their textbooks. For more details on hours and how to order, visit the University Books and More website.

Parking

Parking information and permit options are available on the Parking Services website. To purchase a parking permit in person, or if you have questions about your parking permit, visit the Parking Services Office in the lower level of Blackhawk Commons.
