Accounting Programs

The Accounting Major  balances curriculum content in financial and managerial accounting and is offered in a lock-step manner (i.e., course offered in either semester, not both semesters).

Students will gain the skills and knowledge, and build the relationships to succeed in the accounting profession. As an accounting major at UW Oshkosh, you may pursue the standard 120 credit major program or you may choose to enroll in the 150 credit program, which is the requirement to sit for the CPA exam.

 Who is my Advisor?

A student’s academic advisor is listed on their TitanWeb account under Student Services Center. Students are assigned an academic advisor according to their admission status (prebusiness or admitted).

Prebusiness Advisors

Students not admitted to the College of Business are assigned an academic advisor in the Undergraduate Advising Resource Center (UARC) in the Student Success Center Suite 202 or Student Support Services (SSS) located in Dempsey Hall. Students meet with their academic advisor regularly to explore majors and discuss their career and academic goals. Students can call (920) 424-1268 to make an appointment or find our drop in times with a UARC advisor. Students assigned an advisor from Student Support Services can call (920) 424-1310.

Faculty Advisors

Once admitted to the College of Business a student is assigned a faculty advisor from the department of their major. Faculty advisors guide students in their academic requirements and specific career goals for their major field of study.
