“Education is more than just sharing knowledge, but is also about shaping the minds of young people while empowering them as individuals. I hope to create a positive learning environment where my students can be critical and creative thinkers with a love for learning. I hope to make my students excited to learn and use art to inspire them as well as showing them the power of art as a learning tool. I aim to seek opportunities for continuous growth and learn more about how art and education go hand in hand to help students both in the classroom and outside of it. I hope to make an impact on the lives of my future students and ensure that they feel safe, heard, and valued while also having the tools to succeed.”
Sophia Schneider
Elementary & Middle Education
“Through my involvement in the ArtsCore program, I have seen firsthand how arts integration allows students to express themselves creatively, engage with their learning, and build connections with their peers. This approach nurtures both academic performance and emotional growth, and I am committed to fostering environments where all students feel safe and supported. I firmly believe that schools should be spaces where all students, regardless of their race or background, feel valued and have equal opportunities to succeed. I am passionate about dismantling systemic inequities in education and empowering my students to recognize their voices and advocate for themselves.”
