The Kennedy Center defines arts integration as an approach to teaching in which students construct and demonstrate understanding through an art form. Students engage in the creative process which connects an art form and another subject area and meets evolving objectives in both.
ArtsCore School District Coordinators & Coaches
Interested in using arts integration in your classroom, but not sure where to begin? ArtsCore helps first year teachers step into the world of teaching and arts integration with support from coaches in ArtsCore’s partner schools. First year teachers and their coaches are encouraged to attend ArtsCore professional development events outside of the classroom to broaden their teaching strategies.
