Arts Integration: Arts integration during this unit focuses on learning about the elements of song and visual cinematic arts strategies for creating a music video.
Lesson Objectives:
- I will learn to use digital music making software to design an original song or a song remix.
- I will learn to use WeVideo to create a music video for my original song or remix.
Activities:
- Look at and discuss what makes a good song
- Explore a variety of digital music making programs
- Create an original song or a remix of a song
- Learn how video edit and use the green screen
- Look at a variety of music video clips to discuss ideas and what makes a good video
- Storyboard an idea for a music video
- Create an original music video
- Present Videos
Engagement/Introduction: The introduction for this activity looks at listening to music and having a discussion about what makes a good song. Students can share out their favorite school appropriate songs during the discussion.
Assessment Procedure: Students are assessed with a rubric based on if they have met the learning goals.

- Paper
- Colored Pencils
- Optional: green screen, musical instruments
